About me

Hello, my name is Matthew Pitman. I started working in the mental health field in 2013 when I joined a counselling service that offered therapy to adult survivors of childhood abuse. During this time, I saw first-hand the benefits of therapy for the people who used our services, and I was inspired to train as a therapist.

I made the choice to train as an Existential therapist. I have completed my PGDip and am currently working towards my Masters. More information about Existential therapy can be found here. I am a registered member of the British Association for Psychotherapy and Counselling (BACP).

I am passionate about helping people to face the difficult challenges that life throws at us, and to help people work towards how they most want to live, and being who they most want to be.
